Here at Angel Central we take the health and wellbeing of our community very seriously and put it at the heart of all of the decisions we make – in particular throughout our recent £16 million refurbishment.
This focus has been rewarded with two internationally recognised awards. We are one of only three shopping centres in the world to have achieved a prestigious health and wellbeing award – Fitwel.
The award recognises Angel Central’s commitment to building health for all. The rigorous accreditation process included Fitwel reviewing how the centre provides a space committed to building health for all.
And our bespoke planting and landscaping was certified by BREEAM – a globally recognised sustainability assessment method for master planning projects, infrastructure, and buildings.
Accessibility, daylight, fresh air, green space and walking/ cycling access are key to creating our award winning space for all of us to enjoy.
Furthermore we have added new electric car charging points alongside additional bicycle parking.
