Free Kids Activities This February Half Term

Join the team on the 17th, 18th & 19th February, where they will be bringing our best loved stories to us at Angel Central. Please note these workshops are aimed at families completing the activity together. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult for these sessions.

 

Storytelling Superstars
This half term we’re flying off to the magical world of Neverland. Join us in the Feel Good Hub as we sing with the mermaids, dance with the fairies, play with the lost boys, and maybe fight a pirate or two through our sensory storytelling session. Suitable for ages 6-18 months.

 

Literary Legends
Follow us down the rabbit hole as we take a step into Wonderland. Drop into the Feel Good Hub to make crafts that leave you feeling mad as a Hatter! Come and make Alice in Wonderland inspired crafts good enough for the Queen of Hearts. After you visit us you’ll be full of creative ideas that you can recreate at home. Local Choir Raises Funds At Angel Central For St Mungo’s

There’s been an incredible atmosphere in Islington this festive season, helped along by the beautiful sounds of Christmas carols filling the Angel Central Piazza! Recently, we were joined by a local choir raising funds for St Mungo’s, a homelessness charity working directly with people sleeping rough, in hostels and at risk of homelessness.

Puppy Yoga Is Returning To Angel Central

Puppy yoga is the ultimate puppy therapy experience! You will be joined by a litter of puppies who are all getting ready to venture off to their new homes. Each puppy yoga class will start off with puppy cuddles and individual photo opportunities! You will then carry on with some gentle yoga movements and breaks. The class will finish off with everyone on their backs lying down on their yoga mat with a puppy placed on their tummy for extra relaxation.

Puppy yoga is beneficial for the puppies as it allows them to socialise with new people in different environments, creating less separation anxiety when they officially go off to the new homes. From a wellness perspective, it is great for attendees too as it allows you to take a moment out of the day to unwind and relax from the everyday stresses of work and life.

Tickets are released every Thursday for the following weekend. Please check Puppy Yoga London’s website each week as they may release tickets at different times each week. Little Angel Club presents perfect holiday activities at Angel Central for the family to get together and do something a little different this Christmas. Join our team on Saturday 3rd, 10th and 17th of December in the Feel Good Hub!

 

Shuffling Penguins 10:00-10:45 am
Join us for an interactive sensory session for your little ones. This session aimed at babies and toddlers is an exploration through a special snowy story filled with songs and lots of sensory interaction. It’s a great chance to interact and play with your child as they slip and slide through the winter world. This activity is designed for ages 6 months to 2 years with a parent. Little Elves 12:00 – 3:00 pm
Come and get to work as a Little Elf and make a perfect present for Mum or Dad. We’ll have a different craft in the piazza each week, with a special winter theme. Craft away and make something special for Christmas Day! This is a drop-in craft session which can take from 10-30 minutes. Different craft activities are available for children aged 4 – 10 years.

H&M Opens Today With New Home Concept At Angel Central

H&M puts store sustainability, experiential services and customer experience at the heart of their new Angel Central store which opens on Friday 28th October at 10am. The store offers a world leading interior look and feel for the brand, including the much-awaited introduction of H&M HOME, new click and collect lockers and self-service checkouts.

Founded in Sweden in 1947, H&M opened its first U.K. store in 1976. Over forty years later, H&M’s U.K. and Ireland portfolio has grown to include more than 200 stores. H&M continues to lead the transition to circular, climate positive fashion. These values will be built into the foundation of the new Islington store which offers H&M’s Garment Collection and Recycling service. Launched in 2013, H&M’s Garment Collection and Recyling scheme allows customers to donate any unwanted clothes and textiles, by any brand, whilst shopping in-store. All donated items are recycled with 0% going to landfill.

To encourage customers to use their Garment Collection programme, H&M offer Conscious Points in addition to a digital voucher. The H&M garment collecting scheme is just one example of the many projects H&M has implemented to lead the change towards 100% circularity.
